Broste candles are tested according to EU norms: EN 15493 specifications for fire safety, EN 15426 specifications for sooting

To keep your candles in optimal condition, avoid high temperatures to prevent drooping and maintain their straight shape. Burning in a draft accelerates burning and dripping. Store candles flat to prevent warping, and trim the wick to 1 cm before lighting to promote even burning. Extreme cold can cause wax to crack, so avoid prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures.
