Arenga fibre is from the hairy fibrous trunk of the Arenga Pinnata palm tree which grows only in Indonesia.

Finer and softer than other palm fibres, it is extremely durable  outperforming most synthetics. Highly resistant to salt water, it is heat resistant up to 150°, so ideal where plastics fail.
